Don't take for granted - Nov 19, 2008

  • Don’t take anything or anyone for granted.

  • Hold on to everything you value dear to your heart. -- “The value of something isn’t determined by how much it appreciates, but by how much you appreciate it.”

  • Always express your love and thankfulness. --“Don’t just think your thanks, express your thanks.”

  • Leave nothing unsaid.

  • Don’t hold grudges.

  • Let your family and friends know you love them. You never know what’s going to happen, when your, or someone else’s last day is going to be.

  • Don’t let something happen that you will leave saying “I wish…” You wish you said this, or you wish you did that.

  • “Do what you say and say what you mean.”

I take things for granted all the time; I’m continually improving on that. I used to take my friends and family for granted, but now I try and always tell them that I love them.

I used to take the stars for granted, but then one day I looked up and saw them twinkling! How amazing it is to stand outside in the pitch black with the stars twinkling and the moon shining down brightly.

I used to take for granted the people who risk their lives every day for mine and your safety. I now realize how special those people are and how important their job is. I never hear a siren without stopping to pray for the people in trouble, their families, and the Emergency Service people, whether it be police, EMS, or firefighters, and even someone in a military uniform.

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say "thank you?"
-William A. Ward

“Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.” -Margaret Cousins

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
-William Arthur Ward

Thank you my friends and family. I love you all and am thankful for each one of you!
Praying for you always.
